There are only two reasons, a political individual would present, to have that much fissile material in one location, built in the cheapest ways possible. To become wealthy as the contractors or people creating and operating these plants, and czar bombs while your doing it, to have absolute power. Wealth for us and military power to strike annilationn at anyone. The same stupid thinking republicans keep using, religious people trying to use weapons and the political systems to gain power and wealth and control the lives of others with non science reasons for their actions and ,values , of leadership ,here in americav and not far behind are half educated ,non science democrats. Caucasian religion is fascist, is authoritarian. The greatest evil and fraud of all time. That Caucasians would be only ones to understand being alive and ,know how reality was created by this ancient Caucasian man, that owns everyone and everything. It's nothing but brain washed children into mass insanity. Portray it as anything else, as far as it's effect on the world and you know where your thinking then lays. Are you ill educated or half educated

I visited Magnitogorsk as a teen in the 90’s. Yes it was polluted. When I blew my nose, boogers were black! Only time in my life I’ve experienced that. The people were warm and welcoming though. Enjoyed my time there more than my visit to Moscow because of the warm people in Magnitogorsk.

Probably was put there by school children as a part of geography and history class or something like that.

The reactor was empty?!!!!!!!! Then why they covered the destroyed building? And why they covered the cover with the big dome? If the core has no fuel then why they didnt clean the damaged reactor untill now? I simply cant digest this statment

    • @sosig1341

They covered the building to stop radiation getting out, then the cover started developing holes in it and had to be covered with the new sarcophagus that we see now

*with great respect for those who lived through this, are educated enough to understand it, and what actually happened that night...i must protest by calling BULL$HIT!!* THIS DID *NOT* OCCUR AS A RESULT OF INCOMPETENCE, POOR EDUCATION OF THOSE OPERATING THE REACTOR. *it resulted as a result of POOR DESIGN, POOR DESIGN OF FUEL RODS, and a poor understanding of 'the positive and negative coefficient of the reactor. The 'shielding rods' (called control rods in the west) were tipped with graphite, not a little, but actually a large portion of a meter of the end of the rods were made from graphite.* So.... It's time to tell the truth, stop lying. Especially about the may day parades held in Kiev, and simultaneously in Minsk. Those pictures, films, and all records of those two events were almost completely erased from official history. Another HUGE lie: *what precisely happened to all the pilots of helicopters, mine workers, and liquidators working upon the roof of reactor number 4, and number 3. ALL high dosage radiation patients were supposedly taken to hospital number 6 in Moscow.* Tell me: how on earth can one unit, in one hospital...care for all those who were affected by the intense radiation fields present during the cleanup operation???!! What really happened to them? I would like to know.

High levels of pollution combine to produce many different maladies. Skin cancer, malignant blood diseases and diabetes are common. The hardest hit are the children in the city. The local hospital estimates that only 1% of all children in Magnitogorsk are in good health, with the rest falling short.

I left a flower on Valery Legasov’s and Boris Shcherbina’s graves last month ❤️ they’re buried 5-10m apart, it’s in Novodevichy Cemetery, Moscow for anyone in the area who wants to visit. The graveyard guide will point u to their direction, since it’s become a very popular spot for people to come visit and pay their respects to these extraordinary men who saved an entire continent and possibly the world. Legends never die,💜
